An old stump is a trip hazard, a mower-blade killer and a slow re-shoot waiting to happen. Grinding it out is faster and cleaner than digging, and you can re-turf or replant straight away.

- Predator 460 for tight access and smaller residential stumps where the Vermeer can't physically get in
- Stihl chainsaws and cordless gear for site clearance around the stump first
How we leave it
- Stump ground out below ground level, so it's invisible once you've back-filled
- Chips raked back into the cavity, or removed entirely if you'd rather not have mulch
- Area swept tidy, debris bagged or chipped, you can walk on it the same day
